A Handmade Historical Re-creation of the "Iron Mistress" Bowie Knife.  All 200 of this Knife have been made and sold!

"As we stated when we made the Musso Bowie knife aka Primitive Bowie knife."  See Below...
"There have been many knives made that are believed to be a Bowie knife.  Well we want to make this one thing clear.  All we are interested in the knife (knives) carried personally by Jim Bowie."

There has been allot of controversy surrounding these knives.  Many historians believed it was made by Jim Bowie and there are some who now believe it was originally made for Bowie by James Black, a well known and renowned knife maker in Arkansas.

Next Historian Rick wanted to move to a knife most collectors and knife lovers could really appreciate.  The "Iron Mistress"

Well let me just let you read what Rick Baer had to say.

"Ever since I was ten years old and saw the Hollywood movie by Warner Brothers "The Iron Mistress" with Alan Ladd as Jim Bowie I was hooked on this knife.  Ironically, the Iron Mistress knife has had a very unique story that makes it worthy of the mysteries surrounding the historical knife James Bowie owned.  The knife was made by the prop department of Warner Brothers for the film.  In those days props were not kept as souvenirs or collectables but owned by the studio.  With the film completed the props were placed into storage but not for long.  This knife prop would be rented for all of the following productions, John Wayne's "The Alamo", Republic Pictures "The Last Command", Desilu's "The Adventures of Jim Bowie" television series and even Disney's "Davy Crockett, King of the Wild Frontier".  Miraculously, Hollywood kept using the same prop for Jim Bowie's knife in films about him.  Not until recent years as historians have done greater research into the knife have films begun to depict a more historical version, see the first knife in our series.  Musso Bowie Knife (And all 200 are sold).
I have based this design not on Wellmans "The Iron Mistress" book description but more on the Hollywood film version.  Why?  It is the movie prop that is the most associated with the legend of Jim Bowie.  Who can forget the scene portraying James Black and his forging of the knife or the scene depicting the very real Sandbar duel where, in the film Bowie uses the blade for the first time.  The legend among Bowie collectors of the elusive prop is almost as great as the legend of Bowies historical knife.
I hope you enjoy my take on the design as well as the great attention to detail shown by Generation2 in the construction of this great blade."

From historian Rick J. Baer

Since this is a historical copy we felt it necessary not to put any other markings other than what was on the original, but it will come with a laminated card with each knife with a brief history and stating this is "only one of 200 to ever be made".
This is and will be a highly collectable knife, but we felt that it need to be a working knife, not just a stainless steel generic version as many are that have been made.
